  • SIGN UP FOR CREDIT RECOVERY SUMMER SCHOOL SESSION 2

     

    The WPHS Credit Recovery Program is an online instructional program that can be completed at the WPHS site or remotely via internet access.  Summer school is offered on a FEE basis and costs $50 per semester credit ($100 for full year credit)

School Board Members

 

  Board Member, CW Wilson School Board President

C. W. Wilson was elected to the School Board in May 2006 and is currently School Board President. He was born and raised in Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School in 1967. He graduated from East Texas State University in 1971 with a BBA in Accounting. He is the owner of Wilson Accounting & Tax Service in Wills Point and serves on the Board of Directors for the Van Zandt County Appraisal District. He and his wife, Frankie, are active members of the Wills Point Church of Christ and the Athletic Booster Club. They have five children and seven grandchildren.

 

 Board Member, Chuck Allen School Board Vice President

Chuck Allen was elected to the school board in May 2013 and is currently School Board Vice President. Chuck graduated from Wills Point High School in 1991 and from Trinity Valley Community College with an Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Services. Chuck is currently continuing his education at West Texas State A&M University, where he is working on his Bachelor's Degree in Emergency Management. Chuck is married to Shea Anne Schreffler-Allen and has two sons, Joshua and Nathan. Chuck is employed by Van Zandt County as the County Fire Marshal/Emergency Management Coordinator. Chuck is an member of Calvary Baptist Church.

 

 Board Member, Ray Thomason School Board Trustee

Ray Thomason was elected to the School Board in 2006. He graduated from Ennis High School in 1981 and Texas A&M University in 1985 with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Education. He is a Lieutenant with the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department and currently serves as the Assistant Hazardous Materials Coordinator. Mr. Thomason retired from the U.S. Army Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2013 with 28 years of service. He is married to Melinda (Ford) Thomason and they have two daughters that graduated from Wills Point High School: Allison (2013) and Emily (2014). Mr. Thomason is a member of New Release Fellowship Baptist Church where he currently serves as a Deacon and Treasurer.

 

 Board Member, Jeff Etheridge School Board Trustee

Jeff Etheridge was elected to the school board in 2015. He graduated from Wills Point High School in 1996. He is the Manager of Warehouse Operations for US Foods. He and his wife Christy have three sons, Austin, Dilan and Kyle. His children attend school in the Wills Point School System.

 

 Board Member, Russell Hiler School Board Trustee

Russell Hiler has been a resident of Wills Point Texas since 1977. He graduated high school from Wills Point in 1986 and graduated from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas in 1990 with a bachelors degree in business administration. He is a member of first Baptist Church in Wills Point along with his wife and two girls. His wife Tammy is a teacher at the middle school. Hiler's two daughters, Claire and Maddie, both attend Wills Point high school. Mr. Hiler is an independent sales representative that sells to sporting good stores and organizations that focus on apparel and equipment at the high school and junior high levels.

 

   George Wilcoxson School Board Trustee

George Wilcoxson was elected to the School Board in 2016. He was born and raised in Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School in 1977. He attended Trinity Valley Community College and obtained his Associate of Applied Science degree in 1979. George has been a member of the Dallas Fire Department for over 37 years, is a Master Firefighter and holds numerous certifications including HazMat. He is married to Colleen (Reaume) and has three sons, Cole, the oldest and a 2009 graduate of Texas A&M, Hunter and stepson Parker Reaume; all of which graduated from Wills Point High School. George is an active member of the Wills Point community and serves through numerous volunteer efforts.

 

School Board Trustee

Jim Lamb was born in Purcell, Oklahoma and graduated from Purcell High School in 1970. While attending Oklahoma State University, he met his wife, Barbara Kay Maloney Lamb and they were married in January of 1972. They have two children, Mike Lamb who is the Superintendent of Sulphur Springs ISD and Cathy Lamb who teaches English at North Forney High School and four grandchildren, Isaac Lamb, Addyson Lamb, Abby Wilcoxson, Hayden Wilcoxson. Lamb proudly served in the US Army for three years then received his BS degree in Kinesiology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and coached for two years. He moved to Canton, Texas in 1985 and coached there for four years. Lamb moved to Wills Point in 1989 to coach and teach and in January of 1992 he became Head Coach and Athletic Director. In August of 1995 he became Assistant Principal of Wills Point High School and served in that position until July of 2004. Jim Lamb was then named Principal of Wills Point High School and continued in that role for twelve years until his retirement in June of 2016.
