Scott Caloss is in his first year as Superintendent of Wills Point Independent School District. He brings 25 years of experience in public education from a wide variety of school districts. Mr. Caloss served as Superintendent of Poth Independent School District prior to coming to Wills Point. He was part of the Poth school district for 11 years, 8 years as the Junior High Principal and 3 years as the Superintendent. Prior to Poth ISD, Mr. Caloss was a math teacher and coach at Jourdanton ISD and later became the Assistant Principal at the Jourdanton High School. He also has experience as a math teacher and coach from his work at the Valley Mills Public Schools, near Waco, and Birdville Independent School District, near Fort Worth.
Mr. Caloss received his Bachelor’s Degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, where he studied physical education and mathematics. He received his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Texas Women’s University in Denton and his Superintendent’s Certification from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Mr. Caloss is currently working on his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. Caloss has been married for 25 years to Adrian Caloss, who is an English teacher at Brown Middle School in Forney ISD. He has a son, Jacob, who attends Sul Ross University in Alpine, and a daughter, Madison, who attends Texas State University in San Marcos.
